The theme this first half term is Spiritual expression with a particular focus on Christianity. Children will explore and respond thoughtfully to different examples of Christian music. They will describe the impact of religious music on those who sing or play it. Children will also have the opportunity to express their own ideas about religious and spiritual music and debate reasons why music matters to us. In the second half term we will explore the importance of Easter for the Christian faith. The children will explore emotions linked to Good Friday and Easter Sunday.
