The very first Gedling district badminton competition took place this week and due to the standard of our pupils in school, we travelled with 3 teams to the event. The 12 children arrived with high expectations and confidence as they competed against 4 other teams. The event had to be made into doubles due to the number of teams and this made a few of the pupils anxious as they hadn't previously played in pairs. The competition saw some excellent matches and as the schools came together at the end we were unsure as to where our teams had finished.
The medals were presented in reverse order with our boys A team winning gold, the girls C team winning bronze and the girls A team winning gold.
Well done to all of the pupils that attended - it was clear to see the practice they have had in school had paid off.
