Well done to all the girls who were mascots for the East Midlands Women's regional Finals at Arnold Town on Sunday for Northampton Town Ladies. Also a big well done to all the Hi-Fi team who played on Thursday and came 5th out of 15 teams, losing out only to the team who went on to win. As usual, all the children played fantastically and with respect for others. They were a credit to the school.

Year 5&6 Sportshall Athletics Team - Heat 2 WINNERS/District Finals Runners up

After a few weeks of training it was time for 12 year 5&6 pupils to compete in Heat 2 of the Gedling Sportshall Athletics competition.

Heading into the event Arnold Mill had huge expectations and were viewed as potential winners by other local schools. The team did not disappoint and performed amazingly on the day. The team secured first and progressed into the district finals which take place on Monday 5th December.

Although it was definitely a team effort a special mention must go to Isaac Byfield, as a year 5 pupil he smashed the previous competition best on the speed bounce event and achieved a score of 67 in 20 seconds, which equates to over 3 a second. This score has also surpassed the record, recorded by a year 8 pupil who achieved 65, held at NADA.

A big well done to all of the pupils.
