Congratulations to all the children who took part in the Handball County Finals yesterday at Harvey Haddon Stadium. 15 teams took part and Arnold Mill came second and seventh! Well done guys!

Year 5&6 Netball Team (2nd Place)

After the previous competition had to be postponed due to bad weather it was a relief to see that the sunshine was out for the rescheduled date.  The girls travelled to the Christ The King school having trained hard and prepared themselves for a tough competition, under the guidance of Miss Najuk. The team played 4 games at the event, winning  2 and losing 2 which secured the team 2nd place and a silver medal.

Well done girls!

The day had arrived for the netball competition but unfortunately it was cancelled due to bad weather. However, in the adversity of the weather (which turned out to be fine) a friendly game was arranged with Robert Mellors to allow the girls of both teams the opportunity to showcase their ability.

The teams played 2 games which were both very equally contested. The first game finished 2-1 to Arnold Mill with Tier Charlton scoring both points but with Robert Mellors dominating large parts of the game.

The second game saw Arnold Mill play much more as a team as they passed the ball quicker and much more accurately. Again Tier Charlton was on excellent form with her shooting skills, scoring 3 points and securing  a second win to Arnold Mill.

A big well done to all the girls that played from both teams, the game was played in exactly the right manner and with smiles on all the players faces.
