Nottinghamshire Athletic Development Academy

NADA come into school twice a year to work with the 2 development squads. The team of coaches test our pupils during the session as well as delivering drills that are used to develop young athletes of the same age. We have been very successful with our pupils and over 40 have been offered a place at the academy - the pupils that have taken their opportunity to attend really enjoy their weekly sessions.

We always look forward to working with Lance Smith and his team.

Lance provided the following statement:

I am writing to give a huge congratulations to the Y3/4 pupils, the staff and in particular Mr Darby at Arnold Mill for the fantastic achievements in sports this year.

Recently, as part of the Nottingham Athletic Development Academy assessments we tested the Y3/4 most able pupils and the results were superb!

Very rarely do we come across such a high performing group such as this, and this is testament to the hard work of staff and pupils alike. Such consistent high scores are hard earned, and I wish to say a big well done to everyone at Arnold Mill for performing so well.

Recent studies from researchers at NatCen found that pupils who attend sports clubs, such as those offered at Arnold Mill have higher odds of achieving Level 5 in Maths and also developing positive social, emotional and behavioural outcomes.

I would recommend this school to any parent wishing to send their child to a school that provides opportunities for pupil's to excel to the very highest standards!
