Well done to all the girls who were mascots for the East Midlands Women's regional Finals at Arnold Town on Sunday for Northampton Town Ladies. Also a big well done to all the Hi-Fi team who played on Thursday and came 5th out of 15 teams, losing out only to the team who went on to win. As usual, all the children played fantastically and with respect for others. They were a credit to the school.

Chess Chief Executive Gives Masterclass

On Wednesday 9th March we were very privileged to welcome Malcolm Pein into Arnold Mil.l Malcolm is the chief executive of Chess in Schools And Communities which is a charity based in London.

Malcolm was in Nottingham to play against pupils from Nottingham University and very kindliy offered to visit our chess club whilst he was in the vicinty.

Malcolm spent 20-30 minutes with the chess team and showed them a few moves whilst also probing them with questions. He was very impressed by the standard of knowledge from the players and could defintely see the players had been taught very well by Mr Landa.

Malcolm has provided the school with extra chess equipment to help with future delivery.

We would like to thank Malcolm for his time and we hope to see him again in the future.
