Arnold Mill pupils meet BMX World Champion

As a school we are always looking to inspire our children to reach their full potential both in school and out of school. Today we welcomed Kelvin Batey into school, a BMX World Champion, to help us inspire our pupils to believe they can achieve anything they want to in life.

After a fantastic assembly revolving around 'trying our best' and setting aims for ourselves the pupils got to work on 4 fitness activities as part of the sponsored event. With staff and pupils involved it was a brilliant morning that all the children thoroughly enjoyed. The pupils also got to speak with Kelvin and look at his gold medal.

We would like to take this opportunity to thank Kelvin for his appearance, Belinda (Sportivator) for her hard work and organisation of the morning and to Sports for Schools for arranging the event.

A big well done to all 343 pupils which took part in the event, as always you were amazing. We are asking that any sponsorship money raised is brought into school (in an envelope)  by next Friday (16th March). We are hoping to raise lots of money to purchase some new PE equipment.
