On this page you will find information regarding our pupils fantastic sporting achievements outside of school.
As a member of the gymnastics development squad based at Rushcliffe, here is Alfie posing proudly with his 'Gymnast of the Month' award.
Here is Emma from our year 4 proudly showing her football league winners trophy and medal. Emma has had a wonderful season with her football which also included winning the girls league with school and representing Arnold Mill as the sole girl in the boys team recently.
We have yet another keen sports pupil in year 2. This is Evie proudly showing off her 25m badge. Keep up the hard work Evie and I look forward to seeing you take to the pool in year 3.
Lily Mai Fletcher
Here is Lily Mai proudly displaying a trophy she recently received for taking part in football sessions. Keep up the hard work Lily, we are expecting lots more trophies to follow.
Holly is a very talented young lady that performs very well in all aspects of PE. Here she is proudly showing off her medal that received for taking part in a marathon.
Josh is a very keen sportsman from our year 2 who really enjoys anything active. He recently received a trophy from his football and also earned a medal for competing in a football tournament. We are already looking forward to Josh playing in the school football team when he is older.
Here is Lily from our year 2 who has recently gained her yellow belt in Karate. Lily really enjoys attending karate outside of school and she is keen to press on to complete her next grading as soon as possible.
Archie is a very keen young footballer who enjoys playing in goal. He recently competed at the City Ground and was given the opportunity to meet a Nottingham Forest, who signed his goalie gloves and shirt.
Ethan is an excellent sportsman in year 2 that definitely has a bright future in school teams when he gets older. Here he is proudly showing his football penalty shoot out winner trophy.
Eleanor is a very keen sportswoman in year 3 that has recently completed her dancing exams. Here she is proudly displaying her certificate and medal in Freestyle dance.
Alfie is a year 2 pupil that loves being active and thoroughly enjoys playing sport. He recently travelled to Austria on a family holiday to try his hand at skiing. Like Alfie does with most sports, he took to skiing like a duck to water, and was rewarded for his efforts by being awarded the best skier in his group (which consisted of sixth form aged pupils as well). By the end of the holiday he was confident enough with his ability to be tackling the black slopes. Well done Alfie, a fantastic achievement.
Luke is a very keen sportsman who enjoys playing various sports both in and out of school. He has recently taken up hockey and pop lacrosse out of school along side playing for Notts & Arnold Cricket Team. He recently attended the Bingham finals, and here he is collecting an award.
Riley is a fantastic young sportsman who has played regularly in the school football team for the past 2 seasons. Outside of school he plays for Gedling Town, they recently came runners up in their league which has enabled them to gain promotion to League 2. Here is Riley, with the team, receiving their award at the Royal Concert Hall earlier this month.

Isaac is a very talented pupil of Arnold Mill and this weekend he competed at the Boys National level 2 Tumbling competition. He performed amazingly and secured GOLD, at his very first Tumbling event. A wonderful achievement Isaac, well done.
Ali is a current year 4 pupil that has impeccable manners, is a joy to see around school and also a fantastic young sportsman. He has already represented the school at athletics and will be definitely be involved in future teams as he moves through school. Ali is also very dedicated to his swimming and has attended lessons for a few years now which is proving to be developing his swimming ability. Here is Ali proudly displaying his recent achievement of gaining his stage 5 award.

As you can see from this young mans beaming smile, Eli is very proud of his recent achievements in Gymnastics - he has gained his stage 7 & 8 proficiency awards and is thoroughly enjoying attending his gym sessions. Well Done Eli, keep up the hard work.
Connie is a year 4 pupil that enjoys competing at dance during her time away from school. Here Connie is proudly displaying her medals, which include medals for passing her exams as well as medals for competing in different events. When asked to pick her proudest medal, she choose her pre-bronze medal which she won at an event.
Well done Connie, we hope you continue to win many more medals.
Stan is a very talented young sportsman that just loves taking part in all sports. He is a very intelligent footballer that will certainly be pushing for a place in the school team very soon. Stan has been enjoying success away from school with his football, here he is proudly displaying a trophy he received for finishing 2nd in his league with his football team. Well done Stan - keep up the hard work!
Jake is a year 4 pupil that has been progressing very well with his Karate. During the month of November he managed to earn the student of the month medal as well as gaining his Orange belt. A big well done to Jake and we hope you continue to enjoy and progress with your Karate.
As well as being a very good gymnast, Amaia is also a very confident and competent swimmer. She regularly competes in galas and treated the staff and pupils in school us this week by bringing in her trophies and medals.
Amaia has managed to gain to 2nd places and also a 1st - well done Amaia, keep up the hard work!
Amaia Steele (Y4)
Amaia arrived at school on Monday morning with a very big smile across her face after performing excellently in a local gymnastic competition over the weekend and claiming a well deserved silver medal. The photo below is of Amaia performing a Pyramid Acro during her silver medal winning routine.
Porsha is a very dedicated, and talented, member of a local kick boxing club. Over the summer holiday she took part in a tournament where she managed to secure a GOLD medal.
Joe and Nell McManus
Once again the pupils at Arnold Mill have wowed us all by their amazing commitment and dedication to helping others. Joe and Nell McManus took part in the cycle 4 life 12 mile charity bike ride on August 31st.
Joe and Nell (and two of their friends from Haydn Primary School) raised over £600 for Children's Brain Tumour Research and cycled in memory of their dad John McManus, as he had wanted to support children's brain-rumour research at Nottingham University.

Jak Bodycott - Year 5
Jak is a fantastic swimmer and was a very important part of our swimming team this year. Jak often competes at weekends and regularly updates us in school on his achievements, here are a few of Jak's fantastic trophies.
50m backstroke - 3rd place
50m freestyle - 3rd place

50m breaststroke - 5th place
Isaac Edwards - year 5
Isaac is a very talented footballer and always updates us on his team's achievements. At the beginning of the week Isaac very proudly came into as his team had won the annual Priory Celtic tournament and as the captain of team he got to take the trophy home. Isaac also brought in a few of his other trophies to show me and the rest of his class. Well done Isaac - keep up the hard work and dedication as you have a very bright future in football ahead of you!

Isaac Byfield - Year 2
Once again a pupil at AMPS has demonstrated their fantastic talents out of school. Isaac, currently in our year 2, performed at a gymnastic competition over the weekend and was rewarded for his hard work and skill by receiving silver place. Isaac is very dedicated to his gymnastics, attending training most evenings and weekends. Next weekend he will once again be competing, this time travelling to Leicester with an aim of progressing on to the next round held in Glasgow. Good luck Isaac from everyone at Arnold Mill
Amolie Hart-Fuller - F1 nursery
At AMPS we are frequently amazed by the fantastic achievements of our pupils and this was definitely the case a couple of weeks ago when one of our youngest children in school WOWED us by telling us how she had managed to cycle a whooping 12miles (without stabilisers). Well done Amolie you should be vry proud of yourself, we certainly are.
Joe McManus - Year 3
Joe attends Soccer stars football training every Friday night and has been impressing the coach with his fantastic hard work and skills. Joe has been rewarded for this by winning a trophy for his soccer skills and with his team winning the 'premier league' trophy.
Isaac Gilbert - Year 3
Isaac is a very dedicated swimmer and has recently done his bit for Sport Relief by doing a sponsored swim. Isaac swam 2.5km on Sunday 23rd March and has raised a very impressive £555.
